A car that inspired Mercedes-AMG to build the Mythos PureSpeed has popped up for sale in Dubai. It’s the ultra-rare Bussink AMG GT R Speedlegend. Only 5 examples were built, and this one is being offered for 3.5 million AED or approximately $953,000.
To create the Speedlegend, Bussink Automotive took an AMG GT R Roadster and chopped off its windscreen. It has a bespoke rear decklid with roll hoops and a Formula 1-style halo for extra protection. The car weighs 100 kg less than the standard AMG GT R Roadster courtesy of lightweight carbon fibre components.
Under the hood lies a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers 850 hp and 885 lb-ft of torque. All of which is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission. Customers can experience the thrill of driving with the wind in your face at 198 mph.
This particular example has just 3,600 miles on the clock and is currently on sale at F1rst Motors, Dubai.
