Mercedes G-Class Electric recalled, 513 units affected

The Mercedes G-Class Electric has been issued a recall notice. It’s been reported that a total of 513 units of the EV have been affected by this.

The recall is due to wheel bolts. As per reports, these may get loose over time when the car is being used under heavy load for a prolonged duration. As a result, in the worst case, a wheel may come off, leading to a serious, unwanted consequence.

Considering that the Mercedes G-Class Electric is a heavy SUV which is also quite powerful, and can be easily pushed hard on both on and off the road, it becomes imperative for the brand to get this wheel bolt issue sorted. Also, not to forget that it can manoeuvre a G-Turn.

And for that, Mercedes is offering a simple fix – replace the existing wheel bolts with redesigned ones.

But it is to be noted that, as of now, this recall has been issued in Japan only. The 513 affected models were imported into the Land of the Rising Sun between September 17, 2024 and July 22, 2025.
