Genesis Magma GT Concept revealed with refined, production-ready design

Last year, Genesis showcased the Magma GT Concept as part of its new performance sub-brand. The team has been working on it for the last 6 months and has come up with a more refined version of the mid-engined supercar.

The Magma GT Concept v2.0 looks absolutely gorgeous, especially in the metallic green shade. Besides the subtle changes, the car looks more production-ready than before.

Starting at the front, the Magma GT retains the clamshell bonnet with slim, protruding LED headlamps. The full-width taillights have been tweaked slightly for a cleaner look. It has butterfly-style doors and a rear clamshell that opens just like on a Koenigsegg.

The latest iteration of the Magma GT looks just as curvaceous as the original concept. It looks like the aerodynamics department has put in a lot of work over the past few months. As you can see, the aeroblade behind the front fenders has been reworked. The rear diffuser has also been redesigned, and the integrated lip spoiler now has a V-shaped cut-out in the centre.

The interior looks old-school, and we love it! There’s leather with diamond stitching all around, whereas the top of the dash and door pads is lined in Alcantara. It has a sporty steering wheel with paddle shifters as well as a drive mode selector lever in the centre designed like an H-pattern shifter.

The Magma GT is rumoured to feature a mid-mounted V8 engine. Technical details, though, are still scarce.
