GMA Le Mans GTR with screaming 12,100 rpm V12 makes global dynamic debut

Gordon Murray doesn’t do ordinary. So when the GMA Le Mans GTR needed to break cover, it wasn’t going to be a quiet reveal. For a car inspired by endurance racing legends, there was only one place to pull off the covers—and it wasn’t a showroom.

The GMA Le Mans GTR made its global dynamic debut recently at the 2026 Le Mans Classic event, and in proper style. Taking to the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe, the experimental prototype XP1 stretched its longtail silhouette down the Mulsanne Straight before slicing through the Porsche Curves.

Finished in a rich heritage racing green and piloted by Dario Franchitti, it wasn’t just a visual spectacle. It sounded sensational. The Cosworth-developed V12 screamed all the way to 12,100 rpm, echoing across the circuit.

The Le Mans GTR isn’t just another derivative. It’s deeply rooted in Gordon Murray’s own endurance racing legacy, blending cues from longtail Le Mans machines of the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s. Aerodynamics take centre stage, while a new platform brings together road usability and track precision.

It features a naturally aspirated V12 and a six-speed manual gearbox. Just 24 units will be built, and every single one is already spoken for. First customer deliveries are expected in 2027.
