Alpine A110 Future prototype previewed, world premiere at Goodwood

Alpine is stepping into a new chapter, and it’s doing so without forgetting what made the A110 special in the first place. The company has previewed the A110 Future, which is a development mule showcasing the brand’s next-generation electric sports car. It is set to debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Alpine claims the third-gen A110 will be the world’s first true electric sports car. Built on the new Alpine Performance Platform (APP), the car uses a lightweight aluminium architecture paired with a near-ideal 40:60 weight distribution.

For the hardware, there’s an 800V electrical system with high-density battery cells that promises faster charging and reduced weight, while a rear-mounted dual-motor setup delivers instant torque. Add to that a silicon carbide inverter for quicker response, plus fully aluminium suspension and integrated braking and steering systems, and it starts to sound properly serious.

Goodwood will be the perfect stage. Alongside the A110 Future, Alpine will showcase the A290 electric hot hatch and the 470 hp A390 fastback. The brand is also bringing its Formula One flavour, with drivers like Pierre Gasly in attendance and an E20 F1 car demonstration.
