Lanzante’s latest road-legal conversion is based on the most hardcore hypercar Bugatti has ever built – the Bolide. You can check it out at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
From what we know, Lanzante had been working on at least two Bolide chassis back at the factory. The first car put on display at Goodwood has exposed carbon fibre bodywork with a highly reflective Klaussen livery.
It’s hard to make out that it’s a road-legal machine by just looking at this Bolide. It looks just as wild as the stock version. However, I’m sure they’ve made several changes underneath.
The suspension, almost certainly, has been tweaked so that it can handle public roads and can go over speed bumps. While the Bolide doesn’t have a conventional-looking bumper, Lanzante has found space to integrate a set of headlights.
The Bugatti Bolide comes with an 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The powertrain produces 1,825 BHP, allowing the hypercar to sprint from 0-60 mph in 2.2 seconds and just 12.1 seconds to reach 249 mph.
