McLaren 788HS first look teaser reveals carbon fibre body & rear wing

McLaren has dropped another teaser of its new Super Series model. The latest social media post not only provides a glimpse of the new supercar but also confirms the name – 788HS. It will be unveiled on July 9.

The McLaren 788HS will be based on the same carbon fibre architecture as the 750S. As the teaser suggests, the exterior will be entirely in exposed carbon fibre. The aero package has been massively upgraded and now features a fixed rear spoiler and roof scoop. The quad exhaust setup appears to have been carried over from the 765LT.

The 788HS is expected to be powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine tuned to 800 hp.

Sources tell us that the 788HS will come in both Coupe and Spider versions, with production limited to 100 units each. The starting price is estimated to be around $600,000.
