McLaren P1 body panels from a famous collector car up for auction in USA

A complete set of body panels from a 2014 McLaren P1 – once fitted to American collector Michael Fux’s car – is now up for grabs in Newport Beach, California.

Finished in a striking metallic green with exposed carbon fibre accents, these panels were originally part of Fux’s highly personalised P1. During his ownership, McLaren replaced them with full carbon bodywork, leaving this factory-finished set as a rare leftover from one of the most bespoke P1 builds out there.

You’re looking at front and rear clips, bonnet, doors, rocker panels, front spoiler, and multiple trim pieces. It’s essentially the outer skin of one of the most iconic hypercars of the modern era. Subtle details – like Prodrive assembly decals and a bonnet tag dated March 14, 2017 – add another layer of authenticity.

The panels come housed in a wooden shipping crate addressed directly from McLaren to Fux, making this feel more like an artefact than a parts lot.

With bidding currently at $55,000 and no reserve in place, this is a rare chance to own a tangible slice of McLaren P1 history – minus the 903-hp hybrid powertrain, of course.
