Ferrari’s Handling Speciale pack makes the Purosangue sharper, louder

Ferrari has revealed the new Purosangue Handling Speciale. It’s essentially an upgrade package for the four-door V12, which makes it sharper and louder.

Of course, the standard Purosangue isn’t less engaging by any standards. However, Ferrari says the Handling Speciale “was developed to further intensify the sporting character, while retaining the ability to use the car daily”.

The Purosangue HS gets a recalibrated active suspension that is said to reduce body roll by 10% compared to the standard model. Ferrari says that it delivers “a distinctly more compact feel”, and “reacts more directly to driver inputs”.

The 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox has been retuned for quicker response and more decisive gear changes, particularly in the ‘Race’ and ‘ESCOff’ modes. Ferrari claims that the shifts become more sporting at medium to high engine speeds (above 5,500 rpm) in manual mode, increasing driver engagement.

The in-car sound has been optimised through a dedicated setting, which makes the V12 sound more pronounced during startup and acceleration.

And, finally, you also get a few cosmetic changes as part of the Handling Speciale package. Ferrari has added new wheels, carbon fibre shields, matte black exhaust tips and a black Prancing Horse logo in the rear and a ‘Ferrari’ badge in satin on the interior.
