The first De Tomaso P72 is ready and will soon be delivered to the customer. The company says that the supercar finished in a “uniquely tailored body colour, set against touches of rose gold”. It will be presented next month.
The De Tomaso P72 is based on a carbon fibre chassis. It is designed to offer an old-school, mechanical driving experience and comes equipped with push-rod suspension and 3-way manually adjustable dampers.
The exterior design is inspired by racing cars from the 1960s. Inside, you are greeted by classy analogue dials and bespoke switchgear with milled aluminium components.
Powering the P72 is a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine that delivers 700 hp and 605 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox that has short gear ratios for immediate and responsive in-gear performance.
